This weeks project is Tinsel Yarn Pompoms, ready for next Christmas
The yarn was on sale in Aldi, 4 balls for £2.99.
I have to say I think they are only a partial success.

When cutting the pompom the tinselly bits inevitably get cut too, which results in a glittery mess on the floor.

Also, what I didn't think of before starting is that in a pompom it is the cut ends that show most, and the core of the yarn is grey, so the pompom is less sparkly than I imagined it would be.

I think they will be festive enough when mixed with other decorations.

This weeks project was supposed to have been a knitted dragon, but he is still minus half a wing and some claws. I got half way through a wing before realising I was knitting stocking stitch and I was supposed to be knitting garter stitch! He should get done tomorrow though, so I'm ahead for next week!
