Lots of frogging this week, but I have managed to finish these mitts for my daughter.
I've combined two patterns, I found a lovely pattern for a cowl with Narwhals on, and my daughter loves narwhals, but I knew she wasn't likely to wear a cowl, so I found a pattern for some fingerless mitts and substituted the narwhal for the image on the mitts. This was the cause for one of the visits to the frog pond. I managed to miss the bottom line of the chart I had hand-drawn for the back of the right mitt and mark off row two on the back chart, but row one on the palm chart, so consequently half way up I realised the back and the palm werent lining up, so I had to undo about 20 rows.
I'm really pleased with the way they have come out.
The second trip to the frog pond was a hat I'm knitting for my sister-in-law. I got nearly to the end and realised I had missed an increase about 20 rows back - so that is in time-out. You'd think I could get this right as it's the twelfth time I've knit this hat pattern but no...
Also, following last weeks practice run, here are the real choux bunnies
Some of them are a bit franken-bunny, with enormous tails. I don't think I will be on Great British Bakeoff any time soon. My 8 year old grandson thought they were fish with very large eyes. They tasted yummy though.
